Andrew Baker has been involved in brass bands for over thirty years and has played in and conducted at every level from beginners to championship and most recently he was a member of the famous Wingates Band.
During his playing career, he played in some of the best concert halls in the UK under some of the finest conductors, including Bramwell Tovey, Roy Newsome, Alan Morrison, Philip Harper and Andrew Berryman.
He is a graduate of the University of Nottingham, where he studied composition and conducting and continues to compose and arrange music on a regular basis.
His compositions have been performed in prestigious venues throughout the UK and further afield, on local and national radio and also on television. He now lives in Huddersfield where he recently completed an MA in composition at the University of Huddersfield.
