United – The Woodfalls Band with James Fountain
Prima Vista Musikk is delighted to present another commercial disc, and particularly pleased to feature so much new and exciting music by so many talented young composers. We are also pleased to be working with The Woodfalls Band under the experienced baton of Dr Robert Childs.
UNITED is the first CD recording by Dr Robert Childs and Woodfalls Band and it brings together a number of other new and fresh partnerships. The CD musically unites Robert and his son David, with David being the Managing Director of Prima Vista Musikk. It unites the phenomenal talents of trumpet virtuoso James Fountain with Woodfalls, and also unites James with Matthew Rowe in a beautiful duet by Ben Hollings, entitled Lament.
It also brings together a school of young talented composers including: Jonathan Bates, Lucy Pankhurst, Ben Hollings, Christian Overhead, Andrew Baker and Paul McGhee and even unites three of them in one collaborative composition, Lucid Perspectives.
However, the main catalyst in choosing the title of this album is the new partnership between Woodfalls Band and their sponsor United Rental System. Long may the partnership last.
